Unfortunately I wasn&#8217;t able to pick up a headset before my office was locked down and so am not massively well set up for work conference calls. As a solution, I decided to try the bluetooth headphones that I use with my phone (as they have a microphone).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I paired them with my work Windows 7 laptop, but it then announced that it was unable to find a driver with the following message :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;Windows was unable to install your bluetooth peripheral device!&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, I was able to solve the issue by&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Going to &#8220;Devices and Printers&#8221;.<\/li><li>Right clicking on my headset and selecting &#8220;Properties&#8221;.<\/li><li>Selecting the &#8220;Services&#8221; tab.<\/li><li>Deselecting &#8220;Unknown Service&#8221;.<\/li><li>Selecting every named service I felt I might need.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once done, the &#8220;Services&#8221; tab looked like the following&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"414\" height=\"510\" src=\"https:\/\/elephantandchicken.co.uk\/stuffandnonsense\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image001-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1121\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elephantandchicken.co.uk\/stuffandnonsense\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image001-2.png 414w, https:\/\/elephantandchicken.co.uk\/stuffandnonsense\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image001-2-244x300.png 244w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 414px) 100vw, 414px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This done, everything started working, although I&#8217;m not saying the audio quality from the microphone was great. Never mind.
