Control It PC Virtual Models & LED Edit
There are three software packages on the Virtual Models CD, namely Control It PC, Virtual Models, and LED Edit.
Teaching full classes of pupils the language of processes of computer control can require a lot of setting up and require many sets of physical models for the pupils to experiment with. This software package of 10 virtual models gives you a site licence enabling groups of any size to easily access 10 different computer control based problem solving activities. Worksheets are included on the CD.
- The virtual model helps schools with a limited number of Deltronics interfaces to offer computer control activities to classes of any size, on standalone PCs or across a network.
- The virtual model means that class sets of identical physical models do not need to be prepared.
- The virtual model worksheets offer exciting and relevant computer control classwork exercises and homework activities which can be programmed and tested during the following lesson.
- The virtual model will integrate with a Deltronics interface so that physical inputs or sensors can activate the model.
- The virtual model is an introductory system which leads pupils into working with real models and Deltronics interfaces.
Led Edit
When pupils have gained the experience and the knowledge of computer control with virtual and real models using the Deltronics Interface they can create their own virtual model using Led Edit.
This development tool can enable staff and pupils to create their own virtual models for individual experimentation and for other pupils to use.
The background picture can be drawn on Paint software, scanned or digitised, or the image can be obtained from the Internet or from clip art disks.
The Led Edit software enables the pupils to add eight LEDs of any colour size or shape to the image and then control the new virtual model within Control It PC software
